LyriLearn
Turn songs into language practice—with lyrics, translations, contextual explanations, and saved vocabulary.
Submitted for App Store reviewLearn from the music you already love.
LyriLearn is a native iPhone and iPad language-learning companion. Play music in your usual music app or on a nearby speaker, let LyriLearn recognise the song, and explore the language behind it.
The idea is to make language practice part of something you already enjoy. Original lyrics sit alongside translations, while pronunciation guidance helps unfamiliar writing systems feel more approachable. Timed lyrics follow the song when timing is available.

From hearing a word to understanding it.
Tap a word or sentence to explore its meaning, expressions, and structure in context. AI-generated explanations and translations help unpack the language, with a choice of target language for learning.
Save words and sentences as you go, then return to them in flashcard practice. It connects listening, understanding, and review without pulling the experience into a separate course.

Built around a focused native experience.
I’m building LyriLearn across product design, interface design, and iOS engineering. The app brings together SwiftUI, Apple’s ShazamKit for recognition, AI-assisted language explanations, and local storage for saved learning material.
Music playback stays in the listener’s chosen service. LyriLearn recognises songs and helps with their language; it does not stream or download music. Lyrics and timing availability vary by song.
The initial iPhone and iPad version has been submitted to App Store review and is currently awaiting review.
